Owner of the Acyayia,  as well as the Letter of Marque which allows the ship permission to attack and take slave ships as prizes, Robert is a member of the peerage.  He is considered an eccentric, irresponsible and dissolute  example of British Nobility.  He scandalously chose a licentious life in exile,  commissioning a ship built to his specifications. He sails the high seas as the consort of Alfajiri.

The true heart of the Acyayia, Alfajiri claims the ship as her den realm.  A former slave, she was in danger of corruption by the Spirals operating the slave pens near Cape Town when Robert found her and freed her.  The pair united against the threat and have been working together ever since. Alfajiri's union with Panther gives impetus to her drive to find and recover cubs and kinfolk lost to the Slave Trade.

Homid Corax

A fiery-tempered, embittered former servant of Robert's, Bran started out as a Breaker Boy in a coal mine near Cardiff.  Robert took pity on him and bought off his debts, and made him his own personal manservant.

Bran remained loyal to Robert through Robert's imprisonment in Sicily and was instrumental in his escape.  Upon the pair's return to London, they had a falling out and Bran's bullet riddled body was seen floating face down in the Thames.  Rumors abounded, the most credible being that Robert's father had Bran murdered to avoid further scandal. No one is quite sure how Bran survived, but his body does carry the scars of his attempted murder in London.
